Welcome to SoundJourney! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Overview

SoundJourney is a music-powered travel discovery platform that personalizes travel recommendations based on your music preferences, using integrations such as the Spotify Web API.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use SoundJourney.

3. Spotify Integration

By connecting your Spotify account to SoundJourney:

You authorize us to access specific Spotify data (e.g., top tracks, artists, playlists) for personalization purposes.
You can disconnect your Spotify account at any time via your profile settings.
We will delete all associated Spotify Personal Data within five (5) days of disconnection.

Spotify is a third-party service and is governed by its own Terms and Privacy Policy. Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them directly.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations.
Distribute or modify Spotify Content.
Access Spotify Content in a way that violates Spotify's Developer Terms.
Use SoundJourney for political campaigning, hate speech, or commercial exploitation of Spotify data.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided by SoundJourney and our partners (excluding Spotify content) is our intellectual property. Spotify content is owned by Spotify or its licensors and is used in compliance with their API terms.

You may not use the SoundJourney or Spotify brand, logo, or trademarks without explicit permission.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

7. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your access to Spotify data via SoundJourney will be revoked, and all personal data will be deleted as per our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundJourney shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
